and then it clicked

I have been doing homework for the last three hours. For two hours I couldn't understand why I was doing what I was doing. I was getting the assignment done, but not at the rate I would like to, because I didn't understand it. Then I had an epiphany, a light went on, and it clicked. I finally understood how everything fit together, and why. Why is a must, everything has a reason, nothing just happens. After I understood it the rest of my homework went quickly. The feeling of figuring out something in an instant, which didn't make any sense before, is one of the most gratifying feeling I think I can have. It's nice for something to come to you after doing it and not understanding it for so long.

Congratulations, you're an idiot!

The world is full of them, governments attract them, and drivers become one. Congratulations, you're and idiot. You're an idiot when the light goes green and you don't give your car gas for ten seconds. When you do give it gas you gun it, but only to slow down thirty feet later because a semi is pulling out in front of you. Then after getting around the semi you go ten under the speed limit and don't put your blinker on when you turn at the next corner. Congratulations, you're and idiot. You decide to pull in front of a road and stop (one that people need to get into). Then when people start going around you because you're illegally stopped you gun it, and then slam on your brakes because someone is now in front of you. Then you have to reverse to get out of the road.

I am sick of people that are just plain stupid. Do people use the gray matter on their shoulders, or is it just for filling the space in their head. Honestly, people need to stop not thinking.

Pain is Good

As Silas said in The Da Vinci Code, "Pain is good". Silas was right, not all pain feels bad, some pain feels good. Pain, generally, doesn't have the notation of being something desirable. When I hear that someone is in pain I think of hurting, suffering, and agony. Many people will take aspirin at the slightest feeling of pain to stop it, and yet others refuse to take any kind of pain killer until it becomes unbearable.

What got me thinking of this is yesterday, at work, a girl accidentally smacked her nose with her hand. She then commented on how good it felt, which is an answer you usually don't expect, but I think that it can definitely be true. Some pain has a initial sharp hurting, but then that pain turns into a numbing relaxed feeling. It still hurts, but not in a painful way. I don't know if that makes any sense or if many people experience pain in that manner, but to me not all pain is bad.

I think it's time for a new job

There comes a time when the job you currently have gets one of three things: Old, annoying, or stressful. When your job starts to become not only one of these things, but two of these it's time for a new job. My job currently isn't bad looking at the benefits side. It pays well, has employee benefits, and works with my schedule, but I'm getting annoyed with the job and it's getting old real quick. The funny part about the job is that we are supposed customer service/sales, but we are really just sales. If you don't do customer service well they'll work with you, but if you don't sell they'll fire you. It shows where they place a lot their important, customer service is dead.

Culture, a representation of history.

Where does our social and individual cultures come from? Have you ever thought about why we do still do certain activities, and if we do them we do them it's most likely a dead practical reasons. Most of the activities or ceremonies that we do today have a reason to why we do them. Either religious or for once practical purposes. Have you ever thought about why brides carry a bouquet of flowers, other than the fact that flowers look nice they have no real purpose in a wedding. They did though have a very real purpose. Before our modern society had some kind of idea of what hygiene was, people smelled. It was probably the bathing just once a year thing that caused this, but brides carried flowers because they smelled. Bride smells bad + Flowers smell good = No smell. We still have many wedding where brides carry flowers, and why do they carry them. They carry them because it has always been done. It's funny to me to find out we are doing something that was only a certain reason and now it's part of our culture. If we only understood why we do so many of the things we do we might not do them.

The organized are the most unorganized

It seems funny to me that the people that organize the most are the ones that can't keep there act together. I know people that have to have everything written down, placed into times, and planned for the next day, and yet nothing happens how they want it to. They can't seem to find things in their organized mess because they keep misplacing it, and they are just spacey if they have nothing planned. My advice is to just take life as it comes and it seems to works out better. Anyway, have a good day while I go plan what to do next. Yeah right.
