Tv's no longer entertaining.

Tv isn't that entertaining. After watching tv for a while a person can figure out what's going to happen on the show. You come to realize that they very well can't be killing the main characters off each episode or the tv series would become a very short. When you see an extra character show up and then goes with the main characters, the new guy you've never seen on the show before, that he's going to die. Likewise, the amount of anxiety the shows create becomes minimal because you know what in the end is going to happen. Tv just doesn't entertain me anymore, it's become a predictable banter of senseless parodies. At least Gilligan had style.

The current system of grading needs to change.

Why do we grade on points of facts instead of actual performance and ability to work. Grading off of facts is pointless. Many teachers have realized that knowing the facts behind something is testable, but it doesn't help in real world situations. On the other hand, knowing what to do with that information and how to use is what people goto school for. Your boss is never going to ask you to quote the definition of algebra, but he expects you to know how to use it. Memorizing the dictionary's pointless. Yes, people should learn facts, but we need to grade on how the knowledge is used. Knowledge is useless without the wisdom to use it.

but my lips hurt real bad!

Napoleon said it right when he told Kip that his lips really hurt. Chap stick is one of the things in life that's really convenient to have, but when you don't have it your lips start to burn. Why is that? What I think happens is when you use it your lips become dependent on it. As funny as it sounds I think it's true. When I don't have chap stick my lips start to burn, and when I do have it I put it all the time without thinking about it. If only I could force myself to use one that the nurse had. Then I'd never run out.

Trapted in my Mind

Writing things down only helps me to forget it, planning something makes me relax because I think it's taken care of, and goals help me to know what to avoid. If I truly want to remember something important, and not forget it, I do the opposite of what others do. I don't write it down. Why? Once I write something down it's as good as gone. It's a false sense of security. I plan on something that could have an indefinite number of possibilities that go wrong. I could lose the paper and forget what I needed to remember. For me, it's only when I write it down do I forget it.

GIVE ME ORIGINALITY

Give me new ideas. Give me creative thoughts. Tell me your breaking concepts. Think outside the box. Break the mold. Write down inspiring thoughts. Motivate people. Make me want originality, but don't give me the same thought, idea, or concept in a different package and call new. I want originality from within, not the reformatted, manipulated, preconceived ideas of another. Give me originality, or give me nothing.

I've decided to become a Monk

Day One: I've dedicated myself, taken my vows, and paid my course fees (who'd thought they'd make you pay fee's). I didn't know that a life of solemnity took so much work. The priest said that if I want a passing grade I would have to work on my focus and concentration, and you know what else these brown robes are really starting to itch.

This is how I feel, a life dedicated to one thing, and right now that one thing is school. All my free time is going to homework, class, and work to pay for school. I knew that school was going to take away a lot of my free time, but this 'no life' thing sucks. I barely have time to update this blog, but then again what would I do with a lot of free time anyway. Um, probably watch movies, hang out with friends, and sleep, but who needs that anyway. Right?

5. Realized I have never worked at Taco Bell before.
6. Watched a kid steal my quarter.
