Fact - Harder to believe than fiction.

In the mind of a man, the idea of civilizations fighting in space, wizards and knights on a crusade, and the chemical spill in the sewer creating a new life is almost easier to believe than the strange inconceivable events of life. Why is life and the unimaginable correlations between events harder to believe than fiction. Fiction has, was, and is created from the human mind. We are all the same species. We have a general sense of direction where we are all going, we have similar dreams, and we always seem to be reaching for something else. Why then is fiction easier to believe than fact. Fiction is easier to believe because that's what we want to believe. We wish we could have super human powers, travel in space, and fight against the mutant creature. We can't always believe that someone, something, or somewhere what we are hearing actually happened, but then again, fact is only what you believe.

Measurement of Life

First off, we need a clear understanding that days, weeks, months, and years are a basis for reference. They are used to refer back to a specific time. They are not used to measure life. Life is measured from the first time you jumped your bike, or the time you aced the test. From your first kiss to the last time you were sick. Life can't be measured with numerical figures. We are more than age, height, and weight. Life is measured in memories, it's measured in time spent with those you love, and it's measured by what you do. When a life's measured, it's never in statistical data. A life's measured by what we did with life. Life can only be measured by life. So make life long, no matter how short you live.

For those who say they don't

Yes, this is for you, person the person next to you, and for them over there. For those who say they don't, when in fact, we know you do. You say you don't and are rather adamant you don't, but in fact you do. Stop telling us you don't. No, this is not about the major things you say you don't do, this is about the small worthless insignificant things you do and say you don't. Why tell us the opposite of what we know? Why tell us something so meaningless and pointless? What try and convince yourself your not? Face the facts, we all know. Stop denying it. So you trick or treat when you're twenty two. So you read the magazines for the opposite sex when you can. So you fell down the stairs. When you make a point to show that you don't, it's a sure sign you do, did, or have. The only one really making sure you know you don't, is... yourself.

I've come to realize the person I know the least about is...me

There are the times when a person must reflect upon their life, what they're doing, and where they want to go (this usually happens in the shower, in bed, or at lunch). Well I have had such an experience. I thought about where I'm going, what I want, and what I need to do and came to the realization (the title pretty much gives this one away), I don't really know me. I don't know what I really want, I don't know my desires, and only after trying something do I know whether I want it or not. I mean how often do we do something and then wonder why we didn't it? We don't even know the person we spend the most time with, ourselves. It's like we are a border in the same house with a person we never communicate with. One knows what's happening and what they want, but the other in control has no idea they should do because they never communicate with the other. I guess that's the joy of life, literally not know what your left hand is doing from your right. Anyway, when I finally figure out what's going on with myself I'll let you know (which will probably be in the shower, bed, or a lunch).

Events of Saturday

1. Took some more things back to Walmart that I got as a 'gift'.
2. Almost convinced my brother to dress up as a Christmas tree for Halloween.
3. Decided that going to school in my bathrobe constituted for a Halloween custom.
4. Tried to find on of those trees that money grows on I keep hearing about.
5. Purchased a minibike to drive to and from school. (Gets great gas mileage, but only has a top speed of 25 mph)
6. Was informed that - Excessively Happy - was an actual medical diagnoses.
7. While at McDonald's, asked the drive through attendant where the nearest McDonald's was.
8. After a look of confusion she pointed north.
9. Watched my friend play ping pong against himself, and played very successfully I might add.
10. Tried to calculate if it was financially feasible to corner the rock market.
  • Some Christmas Pictures.
